Shirts etc.

In order to get a team shirt, you will need to come up with $28 dollars. Is everyone ok with that?

Tiffany and I have been using Paypal. If you want to make it easy on us? Use it. As I have mentioned before Tiffany is in charge of the t-shirts, and has put quite a bit of work in on their design. We both opted for the more fashionable/usable t-shirt, so it will be more of an underarmor material. If you are wanting a team shirt? Send $28.00 to Tiffany's paypal Tiffany. Her paypal account ID is tiffanyarcaris@yahoo.com. If you have not yet paid your race dues, send it to mine thechiltons@hotmail.com.  If this seems like its too confusing, just check off your name on the list below.

Congrats to Joni who also metaled in the 5 K. Were going to have a strong team this year!

Shirts...

For our ragnar team this spring our captain dropped the ball on shirts, and it sucked! We looked "half assed". Andrea, Loni, Zak and I swore this wouldn't happen for Red Rock.

I placed responsibility for our t-shirts on Tiffany Smoot. After all she is a proven WINNER (won best costume at Ragnar this year)!!  Add her as a friend on facebook (Tiffany Smooth for facebook...don't ask its a long story) and you can see them. They are awesome!

A question we wanted to ask the rest of the team is; do we want to have the back of the shirts with our Last Names? Or do we want Nick Names?

We have decided to do Tanks for Women and T-s for men. I also need shirt sizes from everyone. This is not the same as the shirt size you submitted for Red Rock Relay. You still need to do that.

Lastly our name has officially been changed to Our Blood RUNS Red

CAPTAIN UPDATE #1  *July 21, 2011
To our beloved Red Rock Team Captains,
It is about that time! Don’t worry, don’t stress.... just get ready to enjoy yourselves
while running the most spectacular scenery Utah has to offer.
This is the first of FOUR captain updates that you will receive between now and race
week.  We are compiling them based on athlete questions we receive and the latest
race information.  Hopefully we can meet most of  your needs as they arise over the
next few weeks…. Here we go!
________________________________________________________________________
1. FACEBOOK
Its our home away from home. ”Like us” to get all the updates, find team members,
and brag about your overall awesomeness!!  We used to have an online forum through
the website but it never got used, so www.facebook.com/redrockrelay it is!  Yes,
Zuckerberg is taking over the world.
________________________________________________________________________
2. TEAM MEMBER REGISTRATION
As a captain it is your responsibility to have each of your team members register on
IMAthlete.com by the pre race check-in, if you have members running who HAVE NOT
signed up yet on Imathlete.com, THEY WILL NOT GET A SHIRT until after the race.  We
have tried desperately to read your team members minds for shirt sizes to no avail, so
unless they sign up, we cannot know what size shirt they want/need.

*Remind your team members that they only need to sign up as a "team member" and
not as a “captain”,  (unless they want to buy some sweet RRR gear) Also PLEASE make
sure they register for the correct team name !!!!
________________________________________________________________________
3. REGISTRATION DATES TO REMEMBER
*Aug 20th Last day to change your team name. PERIOD!   NO TANTRUMS PLEASE...
*Aug 20th Last day to change your 10k pace time (which determines your Start time)
NO sandbagging here... if you dont know what sandbagging mean WE LOVE YOU ;)
Sandbagging Definition:  if you say your team is slow but you are way fast (because you
wanna start early and finish early)...plan on being asked/forced to wait at an exchange
as the course will not be open if you get ahead of the set up crew.  We may also give
you “angry eyes”  OR  if you say you are fast (because you wanna start later) and you
are slow, plan on being asked/forced to skip legs as the course clean up crew may be
yapping at your heels and the finish line closes at 8pm

7/21/11TO CHANGE YOUR 10K pace TIME FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTION
Go here: http://www.imathlete.com/events/EditReg/EditReg_EditReg___________________________________________________________Enter your confirmation code (it was on the email receipt from imATHLETE)

4. THE COURSE AND RACE GUIDE
Legs 1-12 are 100% completed and perfected for your viewing pleasure in the “Links”
box at redrockrelay.com/zion   We will release legs 13-24 next week and legs 25-36 the
week after.
BE ASSURED though if your team members select legs from the 2010 maps and TRAIN
according...THEY WILL BE adequately prepared as the course will be 93.897987 % the
same as last year.  Also remember that we allow mixing up the legs, ie van 1, runner 1,
can run the 3rd leg on their second ..so on so forth..its your dealio.
________________________________________________________________________
5. VOLUNTEERS
Because we have such great local support from Southern Utah residents, each team is
required to bring ONE volunteer for ONE SHIFT... the shifts range from 3-5 hours
depending on location.  The sign up information will be coming to you in the next few
weeks.  You CAN DONATE your way out of it for $99 which will go to local
organizations ie youth groups, college clubs etc, who will then will provide volunteers.

6. TEAM ROSTERS
As captain if you want to log in and see WHO has/hasnt signed up for your team go to
the Imathlete link and search by Team.  All teams that have been added are in
alphabetical order.  Once the captain selects the team name, they will see everybody
who has signed up.  That's it!
